Film Friday : Portraits in the Snow Part 1 : Atlanta Film Photographer

I know a lot of my friends and family to the north get more than their fill of snow all winter.  Down here in Atlanta, however, it’s still crazy exciting when we get even a couple inches every few years (even if it does shut down the whole city for a week).  I’m the first to admit that my inner 5 year old kids comes out when it snows – I just want to go outside and play!

I’ve always wanted to do some portrait shoot in the snow, and a couple of weeks ago I got that chance!  We’re really lucky to live in a community with a lot of awesome people who are willing to get in front of the camera.  I had a great time shooting film of these lovely ladies in the snow a couple of weeks ago.

Lindsay and I were walking around when the snow was really coming down and she let me grab a few shots of her out in it.

Later in the day, Vivian came out to do a full-blown shoot, complete with an outfit change!

This was all shot on my Mamiya RB67, on Kodak Portra 400, Tri-X 400, and Ilford Delta 3200.

Thanks so much for venturing out into the snow with me ladies!
