Reconnecting with an old friend can be seriously awesome. Jason and I knew each other from back in church youth group when we were in high school. Well life and it’s shenanigans went along and we fell out of touch, until a couple years back when Jason reached out to me. He had gotten into photography too and wanted to get together to talk and nerd out a bit. Fast forward to now and we’re still hanging and out, talking photography and have even gone out shooting together. I’m so glad to have this awesome dude back in my life!
A while ago when we were hanging out, Jason was telling me about this girl he was dating from Ohio and how great things were going. Not too long after that, I got a call from him saying he’s going to ask Melanie to marry him and want to see if I could help and capture the proposal. Jason did it up right with a romantic surprise set up on a hiking trail, on what ended up being a freezing cold evening. Despite the cold weather it went great and of course Melanie said yes! I had such a blast getting to help with the proposal, so when they asked me about photographing their wedding I jumped at the chance!
Melanie and Jason were married on a beautiful summer day at First Baptist Roswell, in Roswell, Georgia.
